FresHDV Tutorial - Adobe Kuler
0 Comments Published by Matthew Jeppsen March 4th, 2007 in Art, News, Post-Production, Reviews, Software, Tutorials, WebAdobe Kuler is a freely-available repository of user-created swatches and color combinations that integrates directly with Adobe applications. Good color scheme combinations are a boon to graphic/web designers and 3d artists alike and can provide a great starting point for new projects and comps.
Lighthouse Media Studios founder and FresHDV writer Kendal Miller has a detailed tutorial on how Kuler works, how it integrates with Adobe Photoshop CS, and how non-Adobe software users can also make use of the service. The 28mb video tutorial is available as a direct download, you can also subscribe to our FresHDV Podcast feed in iTunes. You’ll be subscribed for future audio and video podcasts. And we have a few very exciting and informative interviews coming soon, so stay tuned!

At the end of the article he references On2 Technologies Flix and the free Real Export plugin from RealNetworks…both operate within Compressor in the same manner as the Flip4Mac plugin.
Free Flash Video Converter for Mac Users
2 Comments Published by Matthew Jeppsen January 25th, 2007 in Formats, News, Software, WebAnother great post over at Jake Ludington’s blog, how to use freely available ffmpegX to convert video files into Flash video for web use. He’s even got instructions on how to embed the videos in a web page using Joroen Wijering’s flash player. Did I mention that the ffmpegX software is free?
Windows fmpeg users should check out SUPER, a gui frontend to ffmpeg, mencoder, and various other command-line tools.
