Yeah, I was there and it was pretty crazy. When they showed the secondary color-correction (around 5:00 in the video) there were huge gasps from the crowd. It seemed like it will be so simple to grade within FCP I will have no reason to go into the (still) clunky Apple Color app. But when they announced the price, at least half of the crowd gave a standing ovation. Unreal. And just as quickly they left the stage with no mention of the rest of FC Studio. Hopefully we’ll hear more about the rest of the apps in the coming weeks.

Given that they apply computer vision techniques to recognize the size of the people in the frame, and that they analyze audio to enhance the quality and synchronize dual system… is it too crazy to think that they can search for clapboard at the beggining and end of each clip and aply OCR analisis to autopopulate the reel, scene, shot and take metadata fields? maybe with a third party plugin?
Thanks for your hard work making this video available, guys. It was especially interesting to get a glimpse of how the magnetic timeline is supposed to work.
