4K concept camera and other news from Canon Expo

Canon is showing off a 4K camera with a 2/3″ sensor, something that isn’t likely to ever ship, but might be a harbinger of things to come. They are clearly flexing their muscles a bit in the direction of Red’s own non-shipping concept camera called Scarlet. You may have heard of it. Anyway, competition is good for end users, so bring it on, Canon!

This is a joke, canon could have hit it out of the park with a concept camera. I’m beginning to think canon’s position is why should we alter the course if we are selling so many units and letting the schmucks of the world do the work at modifying the HDSLR landscape.
