I guess the cost of putting a f/1.6 to 2.8 zoom lens for a 3/4 sensor would of made the camera
insanely expensive and also Canon does appeal to filmmaker, me being one of them I own a Canon XHA1, but the vast majority of users are mainly your wedding/event guys that need a long zoom not a shallow depth of field.

The lens looks like it has a real broadcast zoom motor on it.

Does it work like one?

It would be helpful if this was one of the criteria for reviewing a camcorder as most zoom like a worn out clutch.

Thank you very much for the coverage so far! Excellent! One little thing: i missed Kendal asking in the Canon XF 305 interview why Canon didnot put a big sensor (for example from the 5DMKII) in the camcorder. Like Panasonic will do with the AG -AF 100.

Thanks again and keep up the good work!
