One-take Music Video shot on Canon 7D

Tools used: Steadicam Flyer LE flying an 19lb camera rig, Bartech Remote focus system, and a 16-35mm zoom on the Canon 7D @ f/2.8, ISO 640, 24p, 1/50 shutter. Nice steadicam operating, and excellent 1AC work. Check it out below.

One take mvs are the coolest.
Cool video, but I don’t think it’s one take. Looks like there are a few cuts hidden in there.

Thanks for this post. I’m in the middle of putting together a Steadicam rig for my 5D. Of course, the weak link is not having a wireless monitor for the AC to pull focus from. (I’m assuming no one has figured out how to have a wireless monitor with the DSLR’s) Is the AC just pulling focus based on an estimation of the distance, or are their other tricks that I don’t know about?
It does look a bit like it’s really daylight outside some of the windows, particularly in the second half, so I agree with Indie - probably some hidden cuts, perhaps on the swish pans. Either way, it’s very well achieved.

I’m an experienced 1st AC and have done projects like this before. Any decent focus puller can do a job like this by distance estimation. A 35mm lens at a f2.8 gives you 11″ of depth of field at 6′, which is about close as anything came in that video… that’s plenty of tolerance.
