Adobe reportedly to cut 600 jobs, scaling back Macworld presence
Published by Matthew Jeppsen December 4th, 2008 in NewsYesterday it was announced that Adobe will not have an exhibit booth at the upcoming Macworld event. Reportedly they will still offer training sessions at the Expo. Hot on the heels of that announcement came the news that they will also be trimming 600 full-time positions globally. Given the state of the US and global economy, cost-cutting measures don’t seem that surprising. But this close to the recent launch of CS4, should we read deeper into this news? Furthermore, Apple’s financials are surprisingly healthy in this down economy… this may potentially be an opportunity for the fruity brand to snag some talent from a close competitor.
