Making Radiohead’s House of Cards Video without a Camera

No cameras or lighting were used in the production of the video. Rather, an experimental realtime 3D acquisition system called Geometric Informatics was used to capture the performances. For large-scale landscapes and background plates, a Velodyne LIDAR system was used. Here is a behind the scenes video.

I love this video. Such a cool use of technology from one of my favorite all time bands. I think it would be really interesting to up the bit-depth and sample rate and shoot a reality show. Maybe combine this effect with roto-scoping too!!!
