Recently John Galt, Head of Advanced Digital Imaging at Panavision, and Larry Thorpe, National Marketing Manager at Canon Broadcast & Communications Division, opened a discussion on common misunderstandings in Digital Camera Specifications. Panavision has kindly granted FreshDV permission to present the seven-part in-depth video series here.

What happened to this place? Not only has the make over been very missguided, but the content is tedious and, just terrible really. I miss the old fresdv. Is this site even operated by the same people/person? NAB was along time ago. Time to step up. Get rid of the white background, go back to the old posting format, and get real content, or at least links to real content back up on the site before I bail too.

Okay yeah we are the same team, we are just really busy with our businesses this time of year. What particularly about the new design do you not like, why? What would you change? We solicited alot of feedback from people early on and no one has had much to say but good stuff, so I’m interested to hear what you would like changed, as always we like to hear form our readers. As far as real content once again what are you looking for, what do you not like and why?

This is a bit off-topic for this post, but since the discussion is already going on here…
We welcome constructive editorial and presentation criticism at info AT freshdv DOT com and appreciate your comments. We also welcome news tips and article suggestions. Do you have any?

As a side note, you can get rid of the white background yourself by using the theme switcher in the top-right corner of the site, as outlined months ago in this announcement: http://www.freshdv.com/2008/03/freshdv-new-site-launch.html

    Thanks for the feedback,

    -Matt Jeppsen
