As we noted in our podcast discussion on this topic, it really depends on how you will use the camera. If you’re gonna be shooting fast motion shots from a 90-degree angle like this particular shot…then yes, I agree that the EX1 is probably not the right choice for you.

man look at the rolling shutter problems. the verticals all start to lean way over when panning too fast. it even varies with the pan rate… uh EX1, no thanks, nice try though.
