Live FreshDV Audio Podcast Tonight - Tune in at 9:30 PM CST

Here’s a quick reminder that FreshDV is hosting a Live Streaming Audio Podcast tonight, Tuesday the 9th! You can listen online from the FreshTV page. We’ll also be posting a call-in telephone number on that page, and we’ll be taking calls and questions on the air. So tune and call in tonight at 9:30 PM Central time. That’s 10:30pm on the East Coast and 7:30pm on the West Coast. We’re at GMT -6 for all the international crowd.

One of the topics we’ll address is methods of cine-style shooting (with Digital Video) and current news and events in the world of 35mm lens adapters. Brian Valente of Redrock Micro will also be on hand for a segment to give an update on their gear in development and take a few questions. We would also be happy to answer specific questions or comments on our recent Follow Focus and Matte Box video reviews, as well as the 1st AC Tutorial series.

Uh, yeah… I think I need to get an engineer to drop by my house to help me figure out how to listen to your podcast on the FreshTV page. I’ve loaded and reloaded the page … gone to iTunes and … yep, can’t find the Live Broadcast you said would be here.

Folks, you need to make it fool proof, especially for those of us that can run circles around most on a NLE but haven’t the patience to figure out this stupid live podcast.

I’ve tuned in … couldn’t find it … and have tuned out. I doubt I’ll try this again because it should be easier than this.

Hey Kelly,
Thats good to know, can you give us some more feedback on what happened? With the latest version of flash installed you should have just had to visit the page and that should have been it. This is the first report we have had of this, anyone else encounter similar issues at all? We definitely want this to be as easy as visiting a web page, not sure where the problem was any feedback you can give us would be helpful.

Perhaps the problem is that I’m on a MacBook? All I can tell you is that when I went to the FreshTV page, there was a video playing of an interview with Stephen Speilberg (sp?) and a lower third crawl that said “we’re going to be wrapping up in 5mins…” I couldn’t find any obvious sign of a link to your live podcast.

Speaking of the interview … the video then switched to an interview from NAB 2007 that lasted about 30 mins (which was interesting). During that entire interview it continued to scroll with “…wrapping up in 5mins” and a telephone number. Something else must be wrong.

Am I supposed to be going to iTunes to find your live feed? I went there and only saw archived podcasts.

I’m using Firefox 2.0.0.7 on a MacBook with version 10.4.10 of OSX. I’m tired now.

Ooohh sorry you know what when did you log in? The Interview should have been live from 9:30pm to 10:30pm Tuesday Night CST time. I probably left the ticker up accidentally after the show. They player you watched the interviews in is where the broadcast would have been seen, my guess is you tuned in after it was already over. If you could see the regular programing then that is the stream right there.
