One topic that seems to crop up a lot lately is the subject of sensor artifacts in CMOS-based camcorders. The “Rolling Shutter Skew” phenomenon in particular is a primary concern…it is present to some extent in CMOS-equipped camcorders from cheap consumer models all the way up to the SI-2K and RED One digital cinema cameras.
