		<description>If Sony introduced a line of firewire HD pencil/cigar cams like the CVX-V3p or XC555 then this unit would prove very useful. Or if the Iconix offered HDMI or Firewire out, you have significantly dropped the cost of being able to use the camera which at the moment is limited to the Panasonic AJ-HD1400 VTR.

The GVD1000 has proved popular as a portable split but the only advantage the GV-HD700 offers is the larger 16:9 screen.</description>
