I am assuming he knows and understands the material, but interviewing on camera is a skill that needs to be honed and he might be better coming up with questions before-hand that are more thought out, rather than the ubitiqitous â€˜how much does it cost?â€™, â€˜when is it outâ€™?

As for constructive criticism; the audio was too far away from the speaker and the mic seemed to travel of its own accord rather then with the speaker and sometimes (not always) the interviewers seemed to be watching everything but the speaker (glitzy light and electronics will do it everytime).

I actually thought you did a wonderful job with these interviews. The biggest compliment I could pay your style was that you listened. Thank god for some personality.

Not to mention, you knew your shit. Seriously, the best coverage of NAB.

Thank you for taking my comments in the right way. I will have to retract some of them though because after watching the rest of your videos from earliest to latest, your style improved. Maybe it was the first few videocast that threw me and stuck with me the most.

HAHAHAHAH Laughing about watching everything but the speaker!!! That is sooo true as a hyperactive semi add creative person NAB is one of the hardest places to maintain focus with everything going on around you and conversations happening right off the side. Must ….maintain….focus…..

I want to thank you guys for the NAB podcasts. I was there at NAB as well, but still found the info you provided very helpful and informing. Sorry to disagree with you Leo, but I actually enjoyed Kendal’s interview approach… Yes, it could have been a little more professional but that’s what I liked most about it. It was very natural as if I was ease dropping on the conversation. Keep up the good work and look forward to more podcasts in the future.

Duly noted sorry it disappointed you. Lots of these interviews where so on the fly there was 0 time to prep any questions at all. Its a skill I will continue to work at honing and developing. Once again thanks for the feedback I’ll work harder at it next time. We wanted to people to feel like they were just sitting in a booth casually having a conversation with a vendor, and those where the questions I would have asked as a visitor to their booth. We’ll work on the presentation. Do you have some more specifics I could do differently? Was the information not what you wanted or you just prefer to polish the questions better? For example when inquiring on price and release dates ,something we wanted to include, how would you prefer that asked?

I like and appreciate the inside view you got of NAB. FreshDV.com is the only source I truly watched and it was an easy route for info and viewing all that I cannot see from my house.

On the other hand - I have say, and with all due respect - the interviewer really needs to step up and improve on his interviewing skills. It was hard to watch him interviewing people because it seemed like he didn’t know which direction to go in as far as questioning.
