NAB Video Podcast - Adobe After Effects New Features and Overview
Published by Matthew Jeppsen April 18th, 2007 in NAB2007, NewsWe snagged one of the Adobe trainers on the Expo floor and got a great rundown of all the latest features and additions to After Effects CS3. Some pretty amazing stuff, like simple frame-accurate video editing in Photoshop, and embedding that video within a PSD (which then shares seamlessly between AE and Photoshop). Some other additions of note…the Brainstorm “randomizer” jump starts project, a really cool morphing tool, using Vanishing Point to generate 3D comps in AE, and much more. Really innovative stuff that looks VERY useful in real-world applications.

Nice videos, but I don’t want to see the same 2 min intro en commercials every in video.
Hi June,
We realized that a little late:(
We setup templates and had so little time to cut stuff together as we were trying to get coverage often editing until 3-4am to get this stuff out and back at the trade show by 9am. Next year you won’t see this problem, it was an oversight on our part.
Yeah, the length of the intro gets a bit tiresome after a few videos. As Kendal already mentioned, it was 100% a time issue…the schedule of shooting all day and editing all night was grueling and our spotty wifi at the hotel didn’t help.
Though I will say this about the “commercials” in every intro; without the generous support of our sponsors, none of this video coverage would have been possible…certainly not on the scale that we were able to deliver. Many thanks to Videoguys and Chris Hurd at DVinfo for investing in this project. We’re proud to represent them and greatly appreciate their support.
Thanks for watching! And don’t stop now, we’ve got tons more material to come, just as soon as we get a little rest. :-)
