While you can calibrate these monitors with some effort, it is up to you to supply them with presets for Rec 601 &#38; 709, etc.

So I'd say these aren't necessarily good choices for video based work.

But the article does inform as to issues relevant to color accurate video work - inconsistent values, calibration, viewing angle differences, etc.
