Read the whole enchilada at the Hollywood Reporter.

“The Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting trumpeted more than $600 million in new production and 6,000 new jobs this past year as a result of its “Made in NY” tax credit incentive legislation, signed into law in January by Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

The mayor’s office also claimed that more than 250 movies and 100 new and continuing TV productions were shot in New York during the past year as a result of the program. It was one of several initiatives launched this year to help boost city entertainment projects and the resulting income from them.”

Sounds like a successful program, and wise leadership. What other cities and locations offer incentives to bring production jobs into town?
